Types of Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy focuses on the idea that pain, grief, disappointment, illness, and anxiety are inevitable parts of human life. The goal is to gain better flexibility with handling these types of events and understanding how to move forward when they happen.

Gottman Couples and Marital Therapy

The Gottman Method as it’s known focuses on the idea that your relationship or marriage is within a house that you built. That house is built on a foundation of trust and commitment. Each layer of the house is an opportunity for each of you as the partners in the couple to learn more about one another. Learn more about Couples Counseling.

Is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy that helps you gradually face your fears. This is done through talking with me about your trauma experience and confronting safe situations and help you decrease your PTSD symptoms and regain more control over your life.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy can come from working with a therapist on mindfulness and meditation but also working with them to get better understand of a past trauma maybe through Somatic Experiencing or Hakomi methods. As an Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapist, I work with my clients to help them get a better idea of their trauma and learn to manage and see what their reactions can be to re-experiencing traumatic events.
